Jonathan Hooper is a Toronto based photographer, originally born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Dealing mainly with portraiture, he brings a sense of strength, power and dominance to his subjects. Hyper-reality and simulacrum constantly find their way into his work. 

Shooting since the age of fifteen, Jonathan has now worked for a myriad of Canadian companies and private clients,  from singer/songwriters, illustrators, restaurants, jewelry designers, clothing designers, and fashion distributors.

Jonathan has been published in magazines, newspapers, blogs and campaigns, throughout Canada and has recently been making headway in America, published in two US magazines in the past 6 months. Highly technical and hungry to push boundaries, the punctum of the image remains his most important tool.

Jonathan is a trophy collector. Only the best specimen and representation will do.
